Come one, come all, to Wild Deadwood Reads in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The free book fair is held at the Lodge of Deadwood, Saturday June 14th from 9:30 to 3:30. Bighorn sheep can often be spied grazing on the grounds of this wonderful venue.
Best selling authors of most genres meet readers and reconnect with old and new friends. The first three hundred attendees receive a tote bag, free swag, and a Memory Book that details authors and their works. Also included are vendor tables, door prizes, and raffle baskets.
Since I’m an online author of small works, if I want my books in print, I must purchase them. This month I am more thankful that I can say I have with me copies of my four volumes of Worship Through Verse. Devotional poetry is a far cry from romance writing, but these works are close to my heart.
I did a Facebook takeover in April, where I highlighted series writing. Frivolities, Ivy’s Inn, Worship Through Verse, and Christmas House. None of these sequel stories were planned as a group. I wrote the first in each series and the subsequent just happened. You can meet other authors and read more about the event here: (20+) Wild Deadwood Reads Group | Facebook
You can meet the attending authors at 2025 Attending Authors - Wild Deadwood Reads
Whether or not you ever read my devotional poetry, I always want to encourage readers. Here is a little something I wrote way back in 1991.
The motivation for encouragement is Love.
Hebrews 3:13 says we are to encourage one another day after day.

R … REFRESH refreshed my spirit 1 Corinthians 16:18
A … ACCOMPLISH prayer accomplishes much James 5:16
G … GIVE more blessed to give than receive Acts 20:35
E … EXHORT a gift of the Spirit Romans 12:8
