My mouse clicking took me to the meaning of the color purple and I saw beautiful floral pictures that made me sigh. Purple in nature is beyond description. But with purple as an adjective or not, I am still passionate about what I love.
Have you ever wondered why you are passionate about your passions?
Why am I passionate about what I love? I love the color purple. I love quilts and strip quilting. I love butterflies, cardinals, peacocks, and wolves.
I love children.
I love being all I can be.
I love having abundance in the Lord (that doesn’t mean riches by any means).
I can be passionate about feeling selfish. In the past, I’ve thought, “It’s MY turn to have a joyful, abundant life, one not driven by the desires and imagined demands of what I think others expect or what I believe I ‘should’... whatever.”
That last bit was whatever, for sure. To continue, I am passionate about the outdoors, meaning the country. I’m passionate about the peace I have while alone—crowds are unappealing to me. A few like-minded people are the ultimate, either Christians or writers (family, of course). Country color, such as Sandhills pasture flowers in purple and yellow. The color green breathes life.
Christianity. Now, that’s something to be passionate about. I was loved by the Creator before I was formed in my mother’s womb.
To continue, I’m passionate about creative expression.
Little touches of color in bleakness.
How the ills of alcohol are destructive. Alcohol can ruin generations of families.
Passionate about my place. My place in the family. In my country home. In my church. In my circles of friends.
Passionate about being free to express myself, to be who I’m meant to be.
And exactly WHO IS THAT? A simple country girl with complex emotions.
Passionate to fully live the days I feel well—when I’m “feeling” well I am able to focus. I can really be passionate then.
God knows the end to my beginning. The middle is often filled with pain, tears, grief. The whole story is HOPE because I know my blue skies are eternal. I have the assurance of victory.
I am passionate about life.
